Infusionsoft is one of the fastest growing Arizona tech companies, and as luck would have it, they're new corporate headquarters are 10 minutes away from our office. And Infusionsoft's softare is, simply put, amazing.
We wanted to attend last year's InfusionCon, but it was sold out by the time we got serious about it. We decided not to make the same mistake again this year.
It's always hard for a small shop to decide to take 3 days off from billable work, which can cost much more than the price of event tickets. The whole shop goes to DrupalCon every year, but that's easier to justify since it's our core competency; almost everything we do is Drupal. But we decided that if we're serious about our Drupal - Infusionsoft integration work (which we are), then this was what we needed. Luckily, we didn't have to spend money on food and hotel rooms, since the event was near by in Scottsdale Arizona.
It turned out that InfusionCon 2013 was exactly what we needed. A shot in the arm of enthusiasm surrounding the platform. Raving testimonials about all of the cool things customers are able to do with the app. And most importantly for us, a broader understanding of the work that needs to be done to fully integrate Drupal and Infusionsoft. Most Infusionsoft customers seem to be using WordPress, and the biggest reason why is because it has an integration module for Infusionsoft. Drupal doesn't, at least not really. We're excited about fixing that.
It also helped to meet more of the Infusionsoft team members that we'll need to work with in the coming months. Now we know who to drop in and visit as we get everything working.
All in all, it was well worth the investment of time and capital, and we definitely plan to be there again next year.
